Vienna Physics Colloquium

The Vienna Physics Colloquium/VPC (Wiener Physikalisches Kolloquium/WPK) is a joint initiative of the Faculties of Physics at the University of Vienna and at the Vienna University of Technology.

Every term, four distinguished scientists are nominated to present a tutorial overview and to discuss recent advances of their research fields.

The VPC addresses the master students, PhD students, postdocs and faculty members of both universities. Hence, presentations with a strong introductory component suitable for early master students in any field of Physics are highly appreciated.

The VPC is scheduled for every second Monday of the month, at 17:30h preceded by a meet and greet with coffee at 17:00 h.

The VPC takes place alternately at the University of Vienna and the Vienna University of Technology. Further information on the venues can be found here.
